Anytime you feel negative emotion, stop and say: Something is important here; otherwise, I would not be feeling this negative emotion. What is it that I want? And then simply turn your attention to what you do want. . . . In the moment you turn your attention to what you want, the negative attraction will stop; and in the moment the negative attraction stops, the positive attraction will begin. And—in that moment—your feeling will change from not feeling good to feeling good. That is the Process of Pivoting.

How I practise Pivoting

‘Pivoting’ my thoughts helps me to shift my perspective – especially when things are not going to plan.

Home schooling has given me plenty of practice to hone the art of ‘Pivoting’ as described by Abraham Hicks above.

In the video below, I explain how I use the concept of Pivoting and the Reiki gratitude principle in my daily practice, to stop unhelpful thoughts in their tracks and re-focus on thoughts that will bring me more peace.

One simple thought has the power to affect your whole day; especially if that one thought is allowed to snow ball into similar thoughts like it.

Your feelings are a great indicator of whether your thoughts are serving you well or not.

Become the observer and pivot your first thoughts before they start to affect your day. Just think of the Net Ball game!

Practise is key.

With love and Reiki,

Seena.
