Reiki Usui Shiki Ryoho

 For mind, body and spirit

How can Reiki help?

Reiki is a very gentle and soothing energy treatment. It serves to promote balance and harmony within the body, by flowing to where it is needed most and instilling a greater sense of wellbeing.
Reiki can be supportive during challenging times such as experiencing grief and loss, trauma, end of life and illness.
It can also be used to provide comfort during major life changes such as pregnancy, home re-location, and career changes.

Children tend to find Reiki calming and reassuring. Sessions will be shorter in these instances, please see Treatment Overview below.

There are no contra-indications for receiving Reiki. Anyone can enjoy the benefits regardless of age, gender or belief system.

What does Reiki feel like?

Each Reiki treatment is unique to the individual. Clients often report feeling a deep sense of relaxation, relief, and sensations of heat and/or tingling in areas where Reiki is flowing.

It is common for recipients to fall asleep during treatments and some report feeling a reduction in pain or stress and a greater feeling of peace.

Effects of Reiki can be felt days, weeks and sometimes even months after. Some clients may even feel drawn to learning the practice themselves after fully experiencing the benefits of Reiki.

Treatment Overview

Receiving a Reiki treatment with Seena is a very safe and simple process.

Following the treatment, the client will be offered water and asked to remain in a seated position for a few minutes, with their feet firmly on the floor, to help ground them back to the present moment.

Seena will then give space for the client to discuss anything that may have come up during the session, as well as offering her own insights and an after-care plan to follow.

It is essential to follow the after-care plan in order to get the most out of the treatment.

Children: I offer Reiki treatments for children (parental consent is required).  Treatment times for children are usually shorter, approximately 30 minutes at the most.   Please contact me directly to find out more and to book an appointment.

Distance Treatments

Distance treatments work in a similar vein to physical treatments with the only difference being that practitioner and client are not in the same room.

A treatment time is set, and a pre-consultation performed prior to the treatment via video or phone call.

Seena will send the client Reiki at the set treatment time, using their photo, name and postcode to establish a connection.

Following the sending, Seena will explain aftercare and give space for discussion via video or phone call.

How many treatments will I need?

This varies from person to person. It is worth bearing in mind that healing with Reiki is a “process rather than an event” (The Reiki Association).

Acute problems generally heal faster than chronic ones so if your problem is one of long standing, it may require several treatments over consecutive weeks and a commitment to follow through with the aftercare.

It is advisable to start with the one treatment to experience Reiki for yourself. Seena will only ever advise a course of treatments if she, and the client, feel that it would be of benefit.

A course of treatments usually starts at four treatments over four consecutive days or weeks.

Seena’s Reiki Lineage

The system Seena practises is Reiki Usui Shiki Ryoho which originated in Japan and dates back to the 19th century. It is a continuation of the teachings given by Reiki Grand Master Dr Mikao Usui.

Seena self-treats with Reiki every day and follows the Reiki precepts, which are key elements in the practice of Reiki Usui Shiki Ryoho.

Seena is a member of The Reiki Association and part of the Reiki Medic-Care team

The Reiki Medi Care Team

Reiki Medic-Care was originally inspired in the summer of 2019 by a conversation between a Reiki team and a matron at one of the UK’s busiest teaching hospitals and trauma centres. The matron wanted to find a way to give Reiki support to her nurses, recognising that finding the time for hands-on treatments was the greatest hurdle.

The Reiki Association

The Reiki Association is a community of people initiated into Reiki, both in the UK, and internationally.

As a not-for-profit organisation we support professional Reiki practitioners, and those exploring a life with Reiki as a spiritual practice and healing art.
